TechnoNICOL enters the market of shipbuilding insulation

29.07.2016 In June 2016, TechnoNICOL launches production of stone wool technical insulation for shipbuilding at the Ryazan TECHNO plant. Today, the key players in the segment are foreign companies, which meet over 80% of the domestic demand. With plants located throughout Russia, the company is capable to increase the share of domestic products to 30% in the nearest future.

The shipbuilding market imposes higher requirements in part of materials. The available solutions must be non-flammable and must correspond to the rules and codes of the International Marine Organization (IMO), the Marine register for shipping and the Inland water register of Russia. The boards and mats of TechnoNICOL meet the preset requirements and combine characteristics that make difference for the shipbuilding sector, such as high thermal performance, low density and good soundproofing qualities.
